Lions Likely To Exercise Fifth-Year Option On T.J. Hockenson
3 years agoDetroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson is likely to be staying with the organization a little longer. Lions GM Brad Holmes mentioned they will likely exercise Hockenson's fifth-year option, assuming the two sides don't agree on a long term deal. The Lions will have until May 2 to finalize a deal with Hockenson. The 24-year-old is likely to get a deal in the range of $60 million total. That would be a deal similar to what the Philadelphia Eagles gave tight end Dallas Goedert. Hockenson was reliable through 12 games last season, so hopefully he can stay healthy in 2022.
