6 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford has been starting games slow this season, and this trend is carrying over from 2017. With the Patriots coming to town this week, Stafford and the Lions have to be at their best from the very beginning. This game has all the makings of a shootout, as both defenses are ranked in the bottom half of the league. So far, the Lions have been playing from behind almost every quarter, so Stafford has been forced to air it out a ton. He's built strong connections with the trio of Golden Tate, Marvin Jones, and Kenny Golladay, and their production has been strong thus far.
