3 years agoThe Detroit Lions re-signed quarterback David Blough to an undisclosed deal on Thursday, according to a source. Blough will compete for the backup job to Jared Goff with Tim Boyle and potentially a rookie in 2022. The 26-year-old played in just one game for the Lions last year and took one sack while not attempting a pass. He made five starts in Detroit in his rookie season in 2019 but hasn't started a game since. Blough has completed 100 of his 184 attempts for 1,033 yards, four touchdowns and seven interceptions in seven career games. He won't be guaranteed to make the Lions active roster out of training camp.
