Lions Release David Blough
2 years agoThe Detroit Lions released quarterback David Blough on Wednesday, according to sources. The Lions decided to cut Blough after they brought in Nate Sudfeld as a backup. Blough didn't impress the team in training camp or the preseason and will now look to latch on with another organization before the start of the regular season. The 27-year-old completed 100 of his 184 passing attempts for 1,033 yards, four touchdowns and seven interceptions in seven games (five starts) in his three seasons with the Lions. Sudfeld, who was cut by the San Francisco 49ers on Tuesday, will now be Jared Goff's direct backup entering the 2022 regular season.
