Lions Sign First-Rounder Aidan Hutchinson
3 years agoThe Detroit Lions agreed to a four-year, fully guaranteed deal for $35.7 million with a signing bonus of $23,153,372 with defensive end Aidan Hutchinson on Monday, according to agent Mike McCartney. The Lions were more than happy to take Hutchinson at No. 2 overall in this year's draft when the Jacksonville Jaguars passed on him at No. 1 overall. Hutchinson was an absolute beast off the left side at Michigan in college, and he should immediately help one of the worst pass-rushing units in the NFL. The 21-year-old pass-rusher recorded 14 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss in 14 games in his final collegiate season in 2021.
