2 years agoThe Detroit Lions signed running back Justin Jackson to their active roster on Wednesday. Jackson, who had eight carries for 44 yards while adding two catches for 39 yards in the preseason finale against the Pittsburgh Steelers, was on the team's practice squad during the Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The 26-year-old former seventh-round pick in 2018 spent the first four years of his career with the Los Angeles Chargers before joining Detroit this offseason. Jackson will provide some more backfield depth behind D'Andre Swift, Jamaal Williams and Craig Reynolds heading into a Week 2 matchup against the Washington Commanders.
