3 years agoThe Detroit Lions tendered impending exclusive-rights free-agent running back Godwin Igwebuike a contract for the 2022 season. The Lions also re-signed Scott Daly, Jack Fox, Mark Gilbert, JuJu Hughes, Tom Kennedy, Tommy Kraemer, Jessie Lemonier, Matt Nelson, Riley Patterson, Anthony Pittman, Bobby Price and Brock Wright on Wednesday. Igwebuike saw a little bit of run in 2021 due to injuries in Detroit's backfield, but he finished with only 18 carries for 118 yards and one touchdown in 17 games (one start). In his lone start in Week 14 against the Denver Broncos, he had eight totes for 25 yards.
