6 years agoSan Diego Padres starter Logan Allen dazzled in his major league debut, shutting out the Milwaukee Brewers over seven innings to collect his first victory. Allen allowed three hits, two walks and endured the occasional trouble, but induced three clutch double plays to escape unscathed. His strongest inning came in his final frame when he struck out the side for a total of five punch outs. Allen, baseball’s No. 61 prospect, will surely get another opportunity after starter Nick Margevicius was recently demoted. With three refined pitches and a decent strikeout track record, he could stick with the club. There is streaming interest in his potential outing next Wednesday visiting the Baltimore Orioles.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
