3 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Logan Gilbert was saddled with his third loss of the year Wednesday. He allowed three runs on four hits and four walks to the Tampa Bay Rays in five innings while striking out six batters. This is the second outing of Gilbert's young career in which he's walked four batters, an uncharacteristic occurrence as he has an excellent 79 to 18 strikeout to walk ratio in 67 1/3 innings. Gilbert now has a 4.14 ERA and 1.10 WHIP for the season, making him one of the most successful rookie pitchers this year. Fantasy managers can count on him going forward.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
