Lonnie Chisenhall Avoids Arbitration
7 years agoCleveland Indians outfielder Lonnie Chisenhall avoided salary arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $5.587 million deal. 2017 was a lost season for Chisenhall because of various injuries, and he ended up playing in only 82 games, and when he did play, he was platooned in the outfield. However, when he was on the field, he was excellent, swatting 12 home runs and driving in 53 with a .288/.360/.521 slash line. Chisenhall can produce solid numbers for fantasy owners when he's playing, but you can't rely on him for a ton of at-bats in Cleveland. For that reason, he's outfield depth in deeper leagues.
