Lorenzo Cain Heading To IL After Exit Monday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Lorenzo Cain (hamstring) is heading back to the injured list after leaving Monday's contest with a hamstring injury, according to Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Sentinel Journal. Cain appeared to injure his leg while running to make a catch in the top of the seventh inning, and was replaced by Jackie Bradley Jr. immediately after the play. This is yet another blow for Cain, who missed most of the second half of April with a hamstring strain and has struggled with a .218/.319/.347 triple-slash line in 30 games this season. With Cain out, it likely means more playing time for Jackie Bradley Jr., with Tyrone Taylor potentially rejoining Milwaukee as a bench outfielder.
