Lorenzo Cain Should See Game Action This Weekend
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Lorenzo Cain, who's been dealing with a nagging quadriceps injury, should be ready to play in Cactus League games this coming weekend, according to manager Craig Counsell. Cain's quad issue has been described as "very minor" in the past but it's kept him out all month. If he's able to get some game action this weekend that could put him on track to be ready for Opening Day. The Brewers have a logjam in the outfield with Christian Yelich, Avisail Garcia, Jackie Bradley Jr., and Cain. It remains to be seen how the playing time will shake out, especially with no designated hitter in the National League this season. Bradley Jr. figures to spell the soon to be 35-year-old Cain in center field, which caps both of their upside in fantasy.
