5 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Lou Trivino allowed five runs - four earned - and two hits with three walks over just one inning of work in a relief loss on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Angels. Trivino was all over the place, uncorking a wild pitch while hitting a batter and also issuing an intentional walk. He threw just 18 of his 33 pitches for strikes as his ERA ballooned from 2.42 to 3.67 as a result of the shaky showing. Trivino has been pretty sharp this season, and he has racked up 12 holds across 27 innings across 26 relief appearances. He remains a decent option in fantasy formats using true middle relievers, especially in formats rewarding holds.--Daniel Dobish
