Lou Trivino Logs 20th Save Thursday Versus White Sox
3 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Lou Trivino allowed an unearned run, but was able to nail down his 20th save of the season Thursday at the White Sox. Tasked with protecting a two-run lead, Trivino allowed a leadoff single before retiring the next two batters. That hit would come around to score on a throwing error by shortstop Elvis Andrus, but Trivino buckled down and got Eloy Jimenez to fly out to end the game. The right-hander has converted 20 of 22 save chances with a sparkling 1.79 ERA and a 1.15 WHIP. He's a must-roster reliever in all fantasy leagues.
