Lou Trivino Picks Up Hold Versus Blue Jays Monday
4 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Lou Trivino allowed two hits and a run but picked up his third hold of the season Monday against Toronto. Trivino had been operating as the closer for Oakland, but manager Bob Melvin is also known to play the matchups and called on the right-hander in the eighth with the heart of the Blue Jay order due up. Fantasy managers shouldn't be too concerned about Trivino losing saves as this will happen from time to time with Trivino being right-handed and Jake Diekman, the primary setup man, being left-handed. Trivino has been excellent this season with a 1.59 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 17 innings. He should get the bulk of the save chances in Oakland and should be rostered in any category-based fantasy league.
