3 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Lou Trivino pitched a clean ninth inning with one strikeout to earn his 11th save of the season Monday against the Angels. Trivino has now earned the last five saves for Oakland as he appears to be the reliever to roster in this bullpen. Jake Diekman, who pitched the eighth inning two straight days, may pick up a save here and there as manager Bob Melvin hasn't been shy about flipping his two best relievers based on the matchups. However, it appears Trivino is the closer of choice who will get the majority of the save chances. He should be rostered in any league where saves are rewarded.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
