Lou Trivino Serves Up Four Runs In Return From Back Injury
3 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Lou Trivino (back) allowed four earned runs in only 2/3 of an inning pitched in his return to action on Friday in Toronto. Trivino had missed a few games with back spasms, but never landed on the injured list. The A's closer missed three save chances while away, with Sergio Romo picking up two saves and Andrew Chafin getting one. Trivino didn't do much to get his job back in this one as he allowed a hit and two walks, including a walk with the bases loaded. The good news for Trivino's fantasy managers is Romo blew the save in this one, so who knows who will get the next save chance for the freefalling Athletics. Don't rage-drop Trivino after this matchup, though he can be dropped if Romo (or someone else) gets the next A's save.
