Lou Trivino Suffers Fourth Blown Save Monday Versus Mariners
3 years agoOakland Athletics relief pitcher Lou Trivino took his fourth blown save of the season Monday when he allowed three runs in the ninth inning to take the loss versus Seattle. Trivino was called upon to protect a one-run lead and he immediately blew the save by serving up a homer to Ty France. The Oakland righty would retire two of the next four batters, but he couldn't escape the jam as he allowed a two-run single to nine-hole hitter Jake Bauers which gave the Mariners a lead they wouldn't relinquish. Trivino has been mostly good this season as he's 21-for-25 in save chances with a respectable 2.43 ERA and 1.21 WHIP, so he shouldn't be in trouble of losing the closer role quite yet. He should be rostered in any fantasy league that rewards saves.
