3 years agoThe Miami Marlins acquired right-hander Louis Head from the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday for a player to be named later or cash, according to Jon Morosi of MLB Network. Head made his major league debut last season and ended up appearing in 27 games, opening twice. The 31-year old posted a 2.31 ERA and 0.86 WHIP with 32 strikeouts and nine walks in 35 innings. He will join a solid Marlins bullpen that combined for a 3.81 ERA. If he pitches well again, he might get some chances for holds after collecting none in 2021. However, there isn't much value in Head, as he likely won't contribute enough strikeouts for someone behind a few relievers in the closer depth chart.--Spencer Seguin - RotoBaller
