4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (side) is not in the team's Opening Day lineup versus Charlie Morton and the Rays on Friday. Manager Charlie Montoyo stated that they could use him during the game in a "big spot," but hopefully, he'll start in Saturday's game instead. Gurriel has dealt with discomfort in his side since last weekend, and it looks like the club is just being careful with him in the early part of the season. Expect Gurriel to put up admirable counting stats in 2020 batting in the middle of a formidable Jays lineup.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
