5 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI in Friday's 6-2 win over the Royals. The 25-year-old has been on an absolute tear since being recalled from Triple-A Buffalo on May 23, driving his batting average up to .309 on the season to go along with 14 home runs and 33 RBI through 45 games. Gurriel Jr. has extended his multi-hit streak to six consecutive games dating back to June 22, with a total of 17 hits over his past eight games.
