Gurriel Jr. is batting .285 with a .328 on-base percentage, 21 home runs, and a stolen base in 525 plate appearances this season. The Blue Jays are starting Corey Dickerson instead in left field on Friday. Dickerson is batting .267 with a .322 on-base percentage, five home runs, and four stolen bases in 338 plate appearances this season. He's batting seventh against the Twins.
