Lourdes Gurriel Jr. Provides Only Offense For Blue Jays
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. clubbed a two-run home run in Wednesday's contest versus the Marlins, which proved to be enough in the team's 2-1 victory. He took pitching prospect Sixto Sanchez deep for his fifth long ball of the season as he finished the night going 2-for-3 with a strikeout. Gurriel got off to a slow start this season but has hit .320 over his past 15 games with all of his homers coming in that span. He's up to a .269/.326/.796 slash line with 10 runs and 19 RBI on the campaign, and should be able to provide fantasy rosters with serviceable roto stats the rest of the way.
