2 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. (wrist) is out of the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Gurriel is being held out of the lineup to heal a "bothersome wrist issue", but it doesn't sound like a serious concern. After a scorching hot June and July, the 28-year-old went on a bit of a cold streak in August, slashing just .225/.269/.304 with no homers. The lack of power is a big concern for Gurriel this season, as he's knocked only five blasts in 2022. He probably shouldn't be starting in many fantasy lineups right now, unless it is a deep league or his owner needs help in the batting average category.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
