3 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit his ninth home run of the season on Wednesday as his club went on to lose to the Mariners 9-7 in extra innings. His solo shot in the bottom of the eighth tied the game at six at the time to force it to extras as he also added a sac fly and an RBI single to finish the day going 2-for-4 with three RBI. With the tremendous depth of the Jays batting lineup, Gurriel has been relegated to the bottom-third of the order where his counting stats aren't exactly flourishing. He's up to 32 RBI, 29 runs, and a .266 BA on the campaign which is playable in deeper leagues, but not setting the world on fire in shallower formats.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
