5 years agoToronto Blue Jays outfielder Lourdes Gurriel (quadriceps) will play in a simulated game Friday, according to manager Charlie Montoyo. Gurriel was going to play a simulated game Thursday but was still sore from a game in Atlanta. If all goes well, Gurriel could be back in the lineup this weekend, but early next week is a more likely return date for the 25-year-old. Gurriel was slashing an impressive .279/.331/.548 this season, so he'll be a welcome addition to lineups for fantasy owners.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
