6 years agoToronto Blue Jays middle infielder Lourdes Gurriel (leg) was diagnosed with a left knee contusion and left ankle sprain after injuring himself in a slide Sunday against the Chicago White Sox. The good news is X-ray's came back negative for Gurriel but he'll also undergo an MRI on Monday. Gurriel has been on fire lately, batting .500 (25-for-50) amidst an 11-game hitting streak, raising his average from .226 to .322. His fantasy stock has shot up accordingly. Gurriel was spotted in the locker room limping but without a brace or wrap. Consider him day-to-day but more should be known about the injury in the next 24 hours.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
