4 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito got shelled on Saturday versus the St. Louis Cardinals in the first game of a doubleheader. Giolito allowed four runs in the first inning and finished the game with six hits, five runs (four earned), two walks and five strikeouts over five innings. Giolito did suffer from some bad defense, but overall it was not his best effort. Giolito has more strong starts than less, but it would be nice to see more consistency. Either way, Giolito should be safe to roll out in most starts and will look for better results against the Detroit Tigers in his next start.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
