Lucas Giolito Picks Up Sixth Victory
3 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito picked up his sixth victory of the season on Tuesday versus the Minnesota Twins. Giolito was yanked after allowing a double to Trevor Larnach to open the top of the seventh inning and would finish with a line of six hits, three runs, one walk and one strikeout over six innings. The one strikeout was a season-low for the star pitcher. Aside from a rough first inning that started with a single by Luis Arraez and a two-run home run by Josh Donaldson, Giolito looked sharp and managers shouldn't worry about his rare one strikeout performance. Giolito is now 6-5 and will carry a 3.84 ERA into his next start versus the Detroit Tigers on Sunday.
