4 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Lucas Giolito has been tabbed as the team's Opening Day starter. This was expected, as Giolito is coming off of a superb season where he struck out 97 batters while walking 28 in 72 1/3 innings, registering a 3.48 ERA. His excellent changeup-slider combo compliments his fastball well, as he generated whiff rates above 40 percent on both off-speed offerings in 2020, contributing to a top-five strikeout rate in the majors. Giolito should be one of the first starters picked out of the second tier of fantasy aces, as he'll be pitching behind perhaps the best team he's played on yet.--Tim Capurso
