3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Lucas Sims picked up his seventh save of the season, a four-out save, in the Reds 2-1 win over the Brewers on Wednesday. Sims registered all outs via the strikeout and allowed just one hit in his impressive outing. It has been an up-and-down season so far for Sims in 2021, where he has posted a somewhat underwhelming 4.23 ERA, to go with a solid 1.16 WHIP. That said, he has now converted four saves in the month of June and seems to have taken the lead for the closer role in Cincinnati while Tejay Antone (forearm) remains on the 10-day injured list. With the performance on Wednesday, he may have further solidified his position in the ninth-inning role even when Antone returns from the IL, presumably, on Friday.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
