4 years agoMinnesota Twins utility Luis Arraez will get the start in left field and bat leadoff for his team on Opening Day against the Brewers. Arraez batted leadoff at times during the spring, with manager Rocco Baldelli saying that it's something he plans to do more often in tandem with Max Kepler, the usual leadoff hitter. The 23-year-old Arraez projects as an ideal hitter at the front of a lineup, given his low career strikeout rate- as well as his .331 batting average and .390 OBP in his first two years with Minnesota. Arraez has yet to face Brewers' ace Brandon Woodruff in his career- though the latter has been a bit more prone to left-handed batters in his career.--Tim Capurso
