Luis Castillo Allows Four Runs In Five Innings
7 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo struggled for a second straight start on Friday. The young right-hander allowed the Pittsburgh Pirates to score four runs in five innings of work, walking three and striking out three. The Pirates made Castillo work as he needed 107 pitches to get through five innings on a cold, rainy night in Pittsburgh. This marks the second straight start that Castillo has scuffled as he allowed the Washington Nationals to score six runs in five innings in his first start of the season. Despite the poor start, exercise patience with Castillo. He has excellent stuff and plenty of strikeout upside. Be on the lookout for him to hit waiver wires and be ready to scoop him up if he does.
