4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo allowed four runs over five innings in a 7-6 loss to the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday. Castillo escaped with a no-decision, striking out seven in the outing. The Giants did all of their damage off of the veteran hurler in the first inning, hitting a pair of two-run homers before Castillo calmed down. Castillo has been all over the place across his three starts, getting lit up for eight runs in his season debut and then throwing seven scoreless innings in his second start. Overall, Castillo has a 1-1 record, 7.04 ERA, and 12 strikeouts in 15 1/3 innings of work. He will face the Arizona Diamondbacks next time out.
