Luis Castillo Allows One Run In No-Decision
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo allowed one run over seven innings in a 7-6 loss to the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. Castillo struck out four and walked one in the outing and was in line for the win before the Cincinnati bullpen gave up six runs upon his departure. The veteran right-hander got off to a rough start this season but he's been trending up of late. He has a 3-10 record, 4.81 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 90 strikeouts in 97 1/3 innings of work overall on the year but his ERA is 2.00 over his past seven starts. Castillo is lined up to take on the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, the final contest before the All-Star break.
