3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo allowed three runs over 6 1/3 innings of work in a 5-4 win over the San Diego Padres on Thursday. Castillo struck out six and walked three while taking a no-hitter into the fifth inning. The veteran hurler's night appeared to be done when a 52-minute rain delay hit before the beginning of the fifth inning but he surprisingly came back out after the delay. Castillo has been trending up of late, having posted a 2.30 ERA over his past seven starts. Overall, Castillo has a 3-10 record, 5.08 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, and 86 strikeouts over 90 1/3 innings of work. Castillo will face off against the Kansas City Royals next.--Matt T - RotoBaller
