Luis Castillo Bounced In Third Inning Of Loss
6 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo lasted just 2 2/3 innings in an 11-9 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday. Castillo surprisingly struggled in the game after being mostly unhittable for the majority of the season. He gave up four runs on five hits, striking out two and walking three. He escaped with a no-decision, leaving his record at 5-1 with a 2.38 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, and 78 strikeouts in 64 1/3 innings of work. Despite the rough outing, Castillo remains a must-start every fifth day when he takes the mound. He will look to brush off the performance against the Pittsburgh Pirates in his next start.
