Luis Castillo Picks Up Fifth Win
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo allowed three runs over six innings in a 7-4 win over the Chicago Cubs on Thursday. Castillo struck out eight and walked two on the way to picking up his fifth win of the season. His only mistakes in the game were a solo homer to Patrick Wisdom and a two-run shot to Wilson Contreras. Castillo now has a 5-10 record, 4.22 ERA, 1.40 WHIP, and 121 strikeouts over 121 2/3 innings of work on the season. He has righted the ship after a brutal start to the season, posting a 1.81 ERA over his past seven starts. Castillo will take on the Minnesota Twins next time through the rotation.
