Luis Castillo Picks Up First Win Monday
7 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo was tough in his start against the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday evening. Castillo pitched 6 2/3 innings, allowing four runs and striking out eight to pick up his first win of the 2018 season. The young right-hander actually pitched much better than his final line indicates, as he held Milwaukee scoreless through six innings before they got to him for four runs in the seventh. Castillo got off to a rough start this season when he allowed 10 runs in his first two starts, but he has calmed down a bit in his past two outings. Overall, Castillo has a 1-2 record, 6.75 ERA and 21 strikeouts in his four starts this season. Castillo remains a solid fantasy option, as he has electric stuff and high-strikeout upside.
