4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo tossed a gem in a 1-0 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday. Castillo threw seven scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and a walk while striking out 10. He picked up the win to improve his record to 3-5 to go along with a 3.03 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 76 strikeouts in 59 1/3 innings of work. Castillo had gotten off to a slow start this season but he has really turned it up of late. Over his past three starts, Castillo has allowed just three earned runs in 22 innings while racking up 24 strikeouts. He will face the Milwaukee Brewers next time out.--Matt T - RotoBaller
