Luis Castillo Strikes Out Eight In Loss
3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo turned in a solid outing in a 6-1 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday. Castillo allowed three runs over 6 2/3 innings while striking out eight and walking two. While he was credited with a loss, it was yet another strong outing for Castillo, who has a 2.89 ERA and 93 strikeouts over his past 15 starts, spanning 90 1/3 innings. Overall he has a 6-12 record, 4.51 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and 138 strikeouts over 137 1/3 innings of work. Castillo will face the Miami Marlins next time he takes the mound.
