Luis Castillo Strikes Out Eight In Opener
6 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo pitched well in his team's 5-3 Opening Day win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Castillo allowed one run in 5 2/3 innings of work, striking out eight and walking three. He had to settle for a no-decision in the game as the Reds only managed one run while he was on the mound. Castillo showed what makes him an interesting fantasy asset in this one, racking up big strikeout totals in the contest. He should be treated as a mid-tier fantasy starter in mixed leagues going forward.
