3 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo was excellent in a 5-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. Castillo tossed seven innings of one-run ball while striking out nine and walked three. The veteran picked up the win in the contest, improving his record to 4-10 on the year with his only run allowed an unearned run coming as a result of Eugenio Suarez's fielding error in the second inning. The veteran hurler was impressive on Saturday, racking up a 33% CSW and 23 whiffs. Castillo now has a 4.12 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, and 113 strikeouts over 115 2/3 innings of work. He will face off against the Chicago Cubs next time through the rotation.--Matt T - RotoBaller
