Luis Castillo Takes Third Loss
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Luis Castillo allowed three runs over 5 1/3 innings of work in a 3-2 loss to the Chicago Cubs on Saturday. Castillo struck out five and walked one in the loss. The veteran right-hander now has a 1-3 record, 6.07 ERA, 1.62 WHIP, and 24 strikeouts across 29 2/3 innings of work. It has been a disappointing year for Castillo, but on the bright side, his velocity was up from his season averages. Fantasy gamers who drafted Castillo to be their top starting pitcher will need to keep the faith despite the poor results. Castillo will face off against the Cleveland Indians and their poor offense next time through the rotation.
