2 years agoThe Houston Astros have tweaked their starting rotation a bit this week, pushing right-hander Luis Garcia back to Thursday at home against the New York Yankees. Framber Valdez will start on Tuesday against the New York Mets, while Justin Verlander will go on Wednesday. It means that Garcia won't be a two-start pitcher this week for fantasy managers. That honor will now go to Valdez. Garcia faced the Mets in his last outing on June 22, so the Astros probably want him to face a new opponent. The game will be at home, but it'll be a difficult matchup against the best team in baseball in the Yanks. Garcia has been rock-solid for fantasy purposes this year, going 5-5 with a 3.68 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, 74 strikeouts and 19 walks in 71 innings over his 13 starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
