2 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Luis Garcia improved his record to 11-8 on the year as his club defeated the Twins 6-3 on Thursday night. The right-hander lasted five innings while allowing three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out five in the 88-pitch performance. Garcia gave up a solo homer in the first inning, but the offense quickly bailed him out by scoring four runs in the bottom half of the frame. He would go on to allow a run on a wild pitch in the second followed by another run on a sac fly in the fifth. Garcia has now allowed three earned runs or more in six-straight contests, which has seen his ERA rise to 4.14 on the year. Hopefully the 25-year-old isn't running out of gas as he will look to put an end to the streak next week versus the Rangers.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
