3 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Gil (elbow) is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery on his elbow. The 23-year-old was removed from his last start on Wednesday due to an elbow issue. He made a spot start with the Yankees earlier this month before heading back to the minors. The Yankees wanted Gil to continue working in the minors before eventually returning to the big league team. This is certainly a hit to the Yankees pitching depth.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
