Luis Guillorme Starting At Third Base On Monday
6 years agoNew York Mets infielder Luis Guillorme is in the lineup and starting at third base against the Miami Marlins. It will mark the third start of Guillorme’s Major League career. Normally a second baseman, Guillorme is endearing himself to the Mets by demonstrating the flexibility to play multiple positions. Regarded as one if, if not the best, defensive second baseman in all of the minor leagues, if Guillorme can show even some of that prowess at other positions, it goes without saying he’ll bring more value to the table. Through 10 Major League plate appearances, Guillorme is slashing .400/.400/.500 with a double, one run scored and one RBI. There’s not much fantasy relevance here, though it should be noted he is hitting better than expected both at Triple-A this year and his short time spent in the bigs.
