3 years agoSan Francisco Giants outfielder Luis Matos is one of the best pure hitting prospects in the minor leagues after signing for $750,000 out of Venezuela in 2018. He finished last season as MLB Pipeline's No. 77 overall prospect, but he's primed to enter the top 10 when the 2023 season begins. Matos won Low-A West MVP honors last year by slashing .313/.359/.495 with 15 home runs and 21 stolen bases in 109 games. He could make the top 10 in the 2022 season, but it depends on how much his power develops. The 20-year-old has 20-25-homer potential because of his bat speed, penchant for finding barrels and developing strength. Matos is certainly one to keep an eye on in dynasty/keeper formats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
