2 years agoTampa Bay Rays skipper Kevin Cash said it's likely that right-hander Luis Patino (oblique) will be activated from the injured list on Friday and pitch against the Baltimore Orioles, although he's not stretched out. Patino made six minor league rehab starts and allowed seven earned runs on 19 hits while striking out 19 and walking only three in 17 2/3 innings, but he had a setback earlier this month due to a finger blister. The 22-year-old will likely be used as more of an opener on Friday against Baltimore, so he won't be in play as a fantasy streamer in his return. Patino made it two-thirds of an inning and allowed a run in his only start of the season back on April 11 before his injury, so it might take him a bit to get back up to speed in Tampa's rotation.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
